Have been house sitting at some great friends house for the past 12month. they are back in 10 days time and in the last two weeks it seemed like there was a strong smell of **** near the bathroom
well this morning i saw one just out side the window. seems to be a domestic cat.
We want them gone, what are some cure, deterents that I can use, dont have any guns / sling shots etc, what will scare them away?

I used this stuff in NZ to keep cats from marking on my motorcycle, no it wasn't a Honda either...it had to be kept outdoors under a cover but they sprayed the cover in multiple places regardless. When the bike was uncovered, an almost daily task, you had to be careful not to get bitten by the spray. Cat pee on your leathers is no fun.
If it's not available here in Australia my apologies. A quick search just then showed toy plastic snakes ie. lots of them, around the house may work. Cats are smart though and will probably just go "Pfft, rubber snakes. Nice try buddy" and then pee on your snakes as well as wherever they have already marked.
I have read about the effects that consuming sardines soaked in radiator antifreeze can have on cats. It was quite "effective" apparently.
My wife recommends cayenne pepper spread around where they usually go. :eek: Not rain-proof though.
Anyway, just google cat repellant, there's pages off stuff there.
get a dog that can spread a cat over about 80 square feet.
then train spread the cat along the 80 foot x1 foot sqaure just on your side of your fence.
worked for us, after a week no more cat problems. and the crazy cat neighbour moved.
