After a torrid weekend of hauling my overweight 6'3" frame through the ceiling, across the roof, up and down ladders....we are hopefully sorted.
Bosch alarm system installed with 6 zones, internal screamers, 2 external sirens, SWMBO and I have a key fob for the cars, SMS alerts to both of us, blah, blah.
While this was being installed I put in the CCTV. 2 week rolling recording on a 500GB HDD, 4 cameras (with IR to 9m). Quality is good enough to pick up plates numbers from the street.

Dowels for all the windows and I've screwed in the security screens to keep them out (the "as installed "aluminium pot rivits are a waste of time!); dead locks for all doors and new hiding spots for keys to stop them from getting out.
Discussed the new bigger, meaner dog option but that didn't fly.

Well done, lets hope that it keeps the b.... away

These things are great
O-D on this forum has one of these setup with IR and motion sensors , funny as!
On one of the external cameras recorded this " Special Person" breaking into his wifes car and his 4wd taking tools and stuff. He actually looked at the camera and wondered WTF as there is signs on the house warning of it !!
O-D took a screen shot of the guy to all the local pubs someone recognised him so O-D dropped a copy of the now DVD of him doing the business in his letter box with a note return my ****!
When said things were "returned" mysteriously during one nite he then dropped the second copy of to the local police who were going to charge said Special Person!!! Funny as!
He had it on his Youtube site probably had to take it down when the dude got charged ROTFL, otherwise I would post the link

Excellent. Hope it signals a change in fortunes for you.
A sign is a good idea too. You ought to be able to pick one from from the local safety gear store.
