    public thanks to Tim

    For those that don't know, my folks have gone into the caravan industry building their own design lightweight caravan (so much for retiring), which is desinged mainly for the retiree to travel in style and comfort, but not have to pull a 2 tonne 20+foot van. Anyway they came to a problem of one customer wanted to run 2 deep cycle batteries in the van and be able to charge them both. 3 days before the van was to go out, they still didn't have the charging system sorted. So they ring number 1 son who's an electrician (me) for advice. My advice is ring Tim from traxide!!
    So the next day they do, the following day the gear turns up to do the job. Lo and behold, all problems solved.
    So a big thanks goes out to Drivesafe, whom my folks will be very happy to deal with in the future. They were blown away with his proffesionalism and advice, and his all round good nature. "he's such a nice guy" (thats for those who think he's an ass)
    So once again, thanks Tim for getting my folks off my back

    Oh and for those others that want to know about the van, its featured in the latest caravan world mag (or what ever its called), heres a link to the old folks vans Karakampa - Home

    Hi Vern and thanks for the good words, and it was also a real pleasure dealing with your father.

    As to your father’s caravans.

    I have been kicking a few ideas around for a number of years now, for doing a bit of tripping and the options vary from going from motel to motel, towing a camper trailer, which I already half have, yet to finish it but this does not suit my needs ( wife won’t go either ), towing large caravan is also not my sean and that left motor homes and they are way out of my reach.

    Your father’s small caravans look to be a realistic option for me ( and the wife like’s them ) so next time I’m down that way I’ll call in and have a good snoop.

    Oh and he's my step dad, if you ever meet us both, you'll see the difference (i'm twice his height)

    Once again, thanks for your help, they'll be in touch

    I'll second this, Tim has ALWAYS come to the rescue when I am disorganised enough to have none of his upgrade and battery management kits on the shelf when I need them, everything arrives on time, and he is always a pleasure to deal with

    Great work Tim as always, I have a new multimeter, works like a bought one

    Vern, that is a very nice van, so many features in such a small van, but it still looks like they haven't compromised on living space, very well designed indeed.

    I’m happy to go from motel to motel when on a trip, BUT, I also prefer to drive at night and by the time I’m ready to get some sleep it’s usually around 2 to 4 am and it’s almost impossible to find a motel that has all night service.

    Camper trailers and the likes just don’t fit what I want to do and a large caravan is also not what I want.

    This small caravan looks like the perfect solution for what I want to do. It’s got everything in it I ( and my wife ) would need and then some but it’s a nice nifty size.

    I’m still looking at different options but this one is now high on my list of “must look at”
