No, but I may know someone who knows someone, etc. I'll go ask the question.
As the years go on I am depleting my supply of genuine army "FRED's".
I use them with the youth at risk training I am involved with and I am down to about my last 20 or 30. I have given away thousands over the years but my own personal supply and those I have been able to acquire from my military friends are now in short supply,
Please, I do not want anyone telling me to buy those elcheapo copies available in the disposal stores, they just do not cut the mustard (they bend and are useless).
I need to source several hundred or possibly a thousand or so, even if someone can point me in the direction of the original manufacturer.
Nothing can replace the "FRED". I am the greatest geardo of all time with all manner of knives and gadgets in my collections and have determined that the FRED is the perfect tool for the job.
Can anyone help!

This thread makes for an interesting read, when your realise the colloquial term "Fred", was also used as slang for a cylindrical rubber type aparatus, quite handy at reducing the transmission of personal infections and unwanted population growth.

Gee I was hoping to not have to resort to EBay but that may just get me through short term. A couple of bucks each with postage is not a big ask considering over the years I have fleeced some Yanks and Pommies up-to $10-$20 for these little buggers. Why those P-38's and similar variants used by other military forces over the years never "grew" the spoon amazes me.
Still on the lookout for a bulk purchase or contact details for manufacturer.
And no Col Coleman I have never confused a "Fred" for the head gasket of a hot rod!
I just bought 5 for $7.00 from a guy in toowoomba...... on ebay of course
