And again on the Yes Minister theme, I felt, on an almost daily basis, that we end users were considered along the same lines as the intended patients of the empty hospital. Without us causing such inconvenience by trying to use things for their intended purpose things could have been so much more efficient, and everything would have been perfectly maintained. They'll soon have their wish though if things keep going the way they are now.

We could always buy the retired uk harriers and rebuild them

My understanding is that it was cheaper to retain the ski jump rather than change the design by removing it.
