Back in the 80's dad had a '78 SIII SWB, camino gold, hard top, sliding rear windows, full length back door, deluxe door trims, deluxe dished bonnet but no rear seats or alpine windows..... I asked him if he remembers it having the brackets/hinges for a tailgate setup, which it didnt because he had to source them when he wanted to convert it to a tailgate.....

supposedly it had been fitted with extra batteries in the back when it had been with its first owner, possibly the port authority in melbourne....
