Thanks everyone. Don't have a pic but Ive trawled through Google and there ain't one there that looks like it. When I say box like, I mean box like. It wasn't a one off, Ive seen others driving round Perth.
The long wheel base FJ45 was released in 1963.
I thought all old Landcruiser owners were too embarrassed to bring them out of the garage any more, after they Land Rovers had pulled them out of where they were bogged :D:D:D:D:D:D
I would have thought that one of the best places to start would have been the OVERLANDER magazine forum,as the magazine mainly caters for the touring type crowd,and that is where most Troopies end up.

I had one of them as a company car when I was working in the Simpson in the mid sixties. It was brand new when we left Brisbane. Lets see -Quote:

Not really - I owned a Series 2 at the time and had previously owned a Series 1. I guess you could say that my experience did not exactly persuade me to change my preference.Quote:

I have nothing good to say about this particular model (FJ45V), but the others we had, FJ40 hardtop and FJ45 trayback were a lot better, although they shared some of the problems and added some of their own - for example, the fuel tank inside the cab resulted in the loss of one by fire due to the filler hose leaking, plus a smoking passenger.
