I get quite hot when I sleep, so I chose a hooped swag with a full inner fly screen. It has hi density memory foam matteress. It has vents and also internal fasteners and security pockets (for keys, mobiles, torches....) the outer canvas can be fully opened leaving you in the insect proof screen. With my fav pillow it is sooooo comfortable I fall asleep within minutes of zipping up. Its a Dune 4WD Outback, got it from annaconda.
btw if you have a light phoebia this one wont even let you know its morning when its zipped up.

If your looking for a swag to share with SWMBO then one that lets spiders and things in is probably not the way to go I have a mitchell dbl and 2 mitchell singles insect proof and you can open them right up if hot just close the insect screen take about 2-3 min to set up.

    Hi mate

I have a friend that specialises in Custom Swags.

Won't het a Better Swag, and is exactly down to what you want.

Mattress thicknesses, materialthickness, length width, where you want the opening/flyscreens, etc...

    The Buisness is

    J&B Canvas

14 Shropshire St, Queanbeyan NSW 2620, Australia
    Phone number(02) 6297 4863

I will say won't be as cheap as an off the shelf swag, but will last forever, and be exactly what you want. The Quality could not be better.

Tell him Chad from Chads Plumbing reccomended him, and he should look after you.

Probably be happy to take an order over the phone, or email the exact design you want and have it shipped when finished.

    Chad

My wife and I have a double down under swag we have had for 8 years.

We've camped in the centre, cape york, mountains in the snow etc and no issues what so ever.

The dome is great as it keeps the canvas off you. Reckon wehave the entire thing set up in two minutes. We dont normally tie up the foot hoops unless its raining or stinking hot. Generally we unravel the swag next to the car and loop the top hoop guy rope over the rear trailing arm.

Just bought a single dome off ebay for 150 for those boys camping weekends as rolling up a double swag is a pia.

ALso best purchase we made for the swag was getting a large canvas stuff sack for the swag made about 3 sizes too big so the swag didnt get dirty when on the roofrack as the swag needs to go elngthways on roof. Been through terrible conditions and never damaged or let any water/mud etc into the swag.

One vote here for Mr Swagman. I went the double dome tent. It's fantastic. I still have my old plain canvas 'Aussie' swag that has served me well for a very long time, and may get dusted off for simple boys' weekends, but these days the extra comfort is appreciated, and it's not just me that I need to worry about anymore. It's quick and easy to set up. Sleeps two with heaps of room to spare. Creepy crawly proof. Cool in summer and warm in winter. It's no tent, and it sacrifices some of the convenience of traditional swags, but add an awning and you've got the best of both worlds. I love it
