Ean, lets see how often you get back out in the boat after all these years. I remember when my dad stopped fishing (30 years in commercial fishing, 3rd generation family business in Port Phillip Bay)(Thanks to the scallop dredgers for destroying the bay:mad:), he went out once that i recall with a mate chasing king george whiting in 10 years before he passed away. I don't think he really missed it:D
Ean, it is the beginning of a wonderful new part of your life. After 21 years in the RAN, 17 of which were at sea, from 9 to 11 months at a time, the first born coming into the world while I was on the way to Hawaii, the others not seeing me much, let me tell you, take the advantage to have some quality family time from now on, otherwise you will regret it as you get older. Give your Wife some real quality time, she has been the rock of your family, as mine was, and is. Bob
so, trading the water rover for a land rover....
Good Luck! Hope all goes well
Good luck with the (sea-less) change Ean.
If it means you can drive your Rover more often, then it's all good !! ;)
... and spending more time with Mrs A & kids counts too ... :p
Congrats Ean. Good Luck and our very best wishes!
Hope it works out for you and the family.
(I was getting worries until I read the last line... looking forward to some more prawns).
G'day Ean Austral :)
Congratulations on your new job, after many years on the water, now you can enjoy time with the Mrs, and the family but still be able to keep in contact with your many seagoing friends.
Best of Luck ;)
Good luck....will put my hand up to organize a Xmas seafood order for SEQLD
Cheers
