The pump belt needs to be changed at 168,000 KM and is accessable without lifting the body. I'm getting mine done tomorrow.

300TDIs have rubber bands driving the cam, noone in defender land complains about these.

Lots of people make belts out to be a bigger problem than they are,if fitted correctly and changed in the required period they are fit and forget. Pat
