Thread: 10 children in 4WD rollover.

It springs to my mind that in this almost over-regulated world you basically need a license for almost everything but anyone still can become a parent without too much fuss...
Seeing it from a more professional point of view, many parents are apparently lacking the maturity to acting like adults and taking appropriate responsibility for themselves and their offspring. You can see the results...

Times have changed.

Back when I was a little younger used to travel to school in the back of fathers ute. Not just his kids though. As we lived the furthest out would pick up another 5 on the way in. All traveled in the back of the ute.

As a kid it was a daily adventure. When it was raining was told it was character building.

Today as an adult in the modern world I understand the dangers and would not allow it.

it's a sad fact of life that the one's that need the counselling & supervision never seem to get it and if they do eventually get it,it is usaully to late.

The "unlicensed, drink driving" is the major offence - once someone is prepared to do this, while carrying a bunch of unrestrained kids makes it worse, without the "drink driving" it is very unlikely there would have been anything for the news services to report. Even the "unlicenced" is probably significant only because it very likely means that the driver used to be licenced but lost it, probably for drink driving.

but would the driver been under the influence and not licenced ???

i agree i used to travel on trayback 4wds as a kid to go fishing.....on the hi-way at 100km/hr

agree in todays world we are not allowed to assess these risks.......you should have seen the replies when i posted a vid of my boys riding on my landy when i was camping.......
