Yes, one very remarkable woman, R.I.P. Nancy.
There is a movie about her exploits, the name escapes me, could be The White Mouse, very good movie from memory.

Fantastic movie was called NANCY WAKE from memory even though she was called the WHITE MOUSE. That movie was one of my favorites and I watched it countless times on VHS when we had just got our VHS player back in the...well...um...back ages ago! One day Ill find it and watch it with my kiddies.
Nancy had an on-going fight with DVA, and the RSL., for many years, I think it was for recognition of her service for Military compensation, from memory, but whatever the the fight was about, She famously said " They can stick their medals where the squirrel stores his nuts", what a spirit, the Nazis didn't have a hope, VALE, Nancy Wake. I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
Interview with Nancy Wake currently being aired on ABC Classic FM. Should be online later.
Yes, Noni Hazelhurst played her role & Nancy was technical advisor. Nancy was a bit "displeased" that one of her greatest feats, jumping from a fast moving train carraige to avoid the Gestapo was not filmed due to budget constraints.
One day ( I can always hope) they will have a Hollywood budget type film to truly convey the atmosphere of it.
A true hero Nancy Wake. The Germans called her "the white mouse" because they could never find her.
