    Did you have a thunderstorm?

Apparently this has a surfactant effect on the (rain)water and makes it softer than normal too.

From years of careful research I have found that often when the wipers don't clean the screen properly it is because the wiper blades need replacing.

    ...Especially on D2a's

Soften the water in your washer bottle with a drop of dishwashing detergent, and give it a slight acid sting with a cap full of vinegar. The vinegar also stops streaking.

I did read in one owners manual to avoid vinegar washer additives though, as they may affect some of the seals. This hasn't been a problem in the SIII, the RRC or the Defender. I haven't had the D2A long enough to to say the same.

Stevo - empty your windscreen washer bottle, then stand up on the bullbar (preferably not in THOSE shorts) and pee in the filler.

This will give you an acidic base for your re-fill, which then simulates the effect of the "acid rain" next time you want to wash your windscreen.

An added benefit to this procedure is that, should you become stranded out away from civilization and not have adequate supply of drinking water - then if you are a follower of Bear Grills, you have another source of liquid refreshment on board your vehicle at all times.
    Cheers .........

Ok...first up...some nice segways chaps ....typical D2 owners . Ok to answer some questions...nope not a thunderstorm, wipers are new, not sure what peeing angles are ....now acid sounds like an answer for the water bottle in the car.....onya BM....so will have to see what happens next time I have muddy windows and see if that works,

    regards
