If you can afford it grab it we did the same as you then went for a cheaper one and I am kicking myself for not saying bugger it it's worth the cost for a good nights sleep
Well after going away for a few days and coming back to find out how bad our bed actually is, we decided to buy a new one after 8 years. So off to the bedding shops, thinking we'll have a look around, pick something up for a few grand and be on our way, ready for a good night sleep without waking up with a saw back.
Then Sally tries out a Tempur memory foam mattress, looks at me and says i have to try this. I look at the price tag, and say i'm scared to try it at $6k for a mattress. Anyway it got the better of me, first impression very comfortable, then my body started to really relax, then i didn't want to get up. But after i eventually did get up, i felt a slight light headedness, like when you've been for a massage.
So looked at many more beds, but just kept coming back to this one.
So my question is, has anyone had any experience with these beds. Have read a lot of mixed reviews thats all, but all the research i've found says they are a great bed just pricey.![]()

We bought a 200mm memory foam topper a few months back and haven't had a sore back since. They are a brilliant thing. Now to get one for my camper![]()

We have one of these matresses (wife has Arthritis). Only problem I find is that I get very hot. Our's is not a pure Tempur but another name thats exactly the same but doesn't cost as much. Very comfy matress though.

Very comfortable arent they![]()
Great in Summer, but turn into a block of concrete in cold weather and take forever to warm up to your body temp, I took my Tempura pillow away camping during winter once, never again, as hard as a rock and cold as an ice cube, might be alright with a electric blanket. We now have a full Latex mattress ($3500) with the wool topping, great mattress, Regards Frank.
i've heard they get a bit stiff in winter, i tried it out yesterday, was probably around 13 degrees outside, felt really good. Might look into a thin topper for the camper![]()
They're great for sleeping ..... lousy for shagging!!![]()
Apologies if that's too direct for some .....
