I still use them but not as much now I dont have the business any more
but they are very very good.
Dont know if they will have pinch rollers for the akai though..
I have looked in all my stock and I dont have any left either. I have repaired many reel to reel units in the last 25 odd years.

What would life be without a Rangie?
I went to ATES in Norman Park, but they said all the belts and other rubber bits need renewing before they could even look at the electronic side. I have found a bloke in Melbourne and am waiting for a reply.
just found this site for those who are interested in spare parts for tape machines. http://www.wagner.net.au/catalogue/05_Audio.pdf
I tried to locate Dick Gordon-Cooke who had a vintage radio & record player repair shop in Holland Park. Haven't seen or heard of him for some time. There is a building firm in the shop now and Dick is no longer in the 'phone book. He would be quite elderly if still amongst us but I fear he has departed.
Only radio shop I ever saw with an Alfa-Romeo monoposto race car in front of the counter.

I just got 101,000 hits by Googling "Akai reel to reel parts".
And some in the US seem to be exactly what you want.
There are also some in Australia.
took 10 seconds or so.
