Thread: An old soldier friend of ours

I've always considered myself lucky to have grown up in the post war era, being a "boomer" and to have had my younger self mentored through life by some "old" diggers. They broke the mold after that generation.
Viv Stephenson is 91 now and my wife's best friends father, I don't think I've ever seen him socially without his wife Gwen & it was wonderful to hear his story non ABC recently, he is a gentleman & a gem.

Thanks for the link My Grandfather was in the British Airforce (Dambuster), he's now 88 and sounds very much like Viv. Wonderful to listen to.
