My understanding is that once an inspection form has been completed, it is mandatory for inspection stations to reconcile all forms monthly and report all second inspection 'no shows' to QLD Transport which then results in a defect notice which can only be cleared by a QLD Transport inspection. This you do not want.
My advice is to make it clear that you will happily pay the inspection fee in exchange for a list of any defects, but without a certificate being completed until the defects have been addressed. You then have the option to go elsewhere. If they wont agree to this, there are plenty of inspection stations who will.
