They make some pretty good gear. I'm running a set of their "4 x Ammo Box" storage system in the back of the Disco.

I didn't think it was legal to carry a gas bottle on the exterior of a motor vehicle, I know you can carry gas bottles on a drawbar, but I think it is illegal to attach a gas bottle in a vunerable area, probably wrong, but it might pay to check, Regards Frank.

ok, cool with that for tyres but where to you get the LPG for them to put back in the tank?

BTW it takes about 90 minutes to pump a 7.50r16LT back to 50psi with said pump. you may feel free to ask how I know that.
Err, You were caught letting someones tyres down????

Could you let us know the price, please? Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Do not carry a cylinder mounted external to the profile or body of a vehicle.
Admittedly that is a work cover/OH&S document but represents good practice for everyone.

Thanks Martyn. I guess that also applies to carrying cylinders on the roof rack. Difficult when you are also advised not to carry them inside your vehicle as well.

    Victorian Regs for catering vehicles:
    http://www.esv.vic.gov.au/LinkClick....d=342&mid=1544

Summary - drawbar of trailer is preferred location for up to 9kg. External mounting (e.g. rear of vehicle) is OK if protected from damage.

Personally, I have always carried them inside. I think that even with the windows up a Defender (shaped landie) has sufficient ventilation

    Holy snapping a............ - that's a scary price.

I never paid anything like that for mine - pretty sure my set was around $650 from Opposite Lock in Kalgoorlie (about 4 years ago though).

I remember the price because the set that I wanted was 6 ammo boxes (two rows of 3) and the entire top panel was also on slides and could be used as a fridge slide. They had one in stock with minor (cosmetic only) damage and wanted $600 for it. Unfortunately, it was just a little too long to fit in the back of the Disco - so they got me up a new 4 box set for only a little more than they were asking for the damaged 6 box set. I was disappointed to discover though, that the top panel does not slide out on the set that I have.

Apparently the set that I have was one of the first to be fitted into a Disco (at least in WA). I was at their shop on Welshpool Rd in Perth not long after fitting them, and they came out to take photos of them installed in a Disco for a brochure or website or something that they were preparing at the time.
    Cheers .........
