Sarah - I am so sad for you. I haven't been on here for a few days and am shocked to see this news. I only met Simon and you, and of course the little "LR wheel inspector" (or was that "dirt inspector"?) Lucas once at the British Car day at Gingin, so only have a brief recollection of Simon. Treasure your memories of the guy that introduced you to the world of Landys and took you out to places few others get to see off the beaten track.
Be assured there are many people out here thinking of you at this time.
    Kindest wishes.
    John B

I am sadden by your tragic news.
Although I have only spoken to Simon twice on the phone and To you a couple of times over emails I have come to enjoy you guys.
Simons positive and professional charisma rubbed off on me allot and made me feel like part of your family when we spoke on the phone. he put me right at ease when making a large purchase and I was looking forward to one day catching up with him and your family.
Remember he still lives inside your beautiful son and always remember him for the good things in life.
In his short time on this world he has touched many people’s lives and has made so much difference to many.
his legacy will live in many a Landover and I will cherish the times I will drive off in the disco knowing that Simon will be with me as I tackle the bush.

My heart goes out to you and your family.

    Stephen

    I need some instruction please...

We have a series 2a LWB that I need to get the roof back on to.I think it's just a bolt on or bolt off job. I think it also needs some checking...Simon said that driving it up the hill to the new house it was only going 20kms...I can't remember what the problem was. Angry with myself. He changed something to do with the solex? I don't know. That or the carburettor wasn't working right? Are these the same thing? He was talking about the carby on our slasher (used for the back yard as it was huge)...I don't know if I'm confusing things.

I think he talked to someone on here (maybe you jaybo?) about what he had done.

I would like to have it going enough to travel in it to the funeral.
I don't know when that is going to be as his mother has been deemed next of kin (we aren't married) and she is in the hospital. The body is being held for days anyhow as an autopsy has been refused.

He was so excited about the Series. It was going to be restored and eventually Lucas' first car

    Hi Sarah

I'm so saddened to hear this.
I don't get to the forum every day, but as others have said, although I've not met you - I know you nad have spoken as part of this amazing AULRO community.

Sarah, I can't imagine what it must be like for you right now, even though two people in my life have walked the same path as Simon. If there's anything I can do, just ask.

Sorry I can't help with the Series - don't know a lot about 'em, but I do know that it'll be sorted in no time, because there are plenty on here who do, and will do whatever they can to make it happen for you.

The thoughts and hearts of the 2ROCKS household are with you.

I am sure that there are some members of this forum that will only be too willing to come by and fix or assist you in what ever has to be done to your landy.
I bet that when they see this post there will be tool boxes lined up out the gate and down the street waiting to assist you.
If I lived in Perth I would be only too willing to assist.

thank you Hodgo, I have had members across the country offering to take leave and get out to me but I don't want to disrupt lives. If anyone local could look, or even if we took it to Kevin, I would hope he could help. He hasn't seen simon for a while though
