I have found 15 psi in my FL2 to be the best on sand. Remember its a lighter car than a Disco. I've run 18 and 20 but the car labours a bit in soft stuff. I haven't had it up on Fraser but from memory the beaches are pretty firm if the tide is right. The soft stuff is mainly getting on and off the barge, lot's of noob's get stuck there :). Towing a trailer, 15 for me on the car and trailer. No quick sharp turns either.

Thanks all for the input.
Mikehzz - you;re running 19's on your FL2 aren't you? (Just tried checking on freel2 but it's down for server move atm).
I think I'll set to the 'average' of the suggested pressure here and go 18psi. To be hionest, I'm only really worried about towing the trailer. The bit of soft sand work I've done in the FL2 has been done at road pressure and she didn't even look like struggling.
Too be honest, I'm more worried about peeling off a tyre than getting stuck. Do I need to be paranoid, or just sensible? Is it ok to run for the whole week at 18psi - up the beach AND inland tracks (assuming, of course, I don't need to go lower).
Oh and one more question if I may (better to look stupid here where noone can see me than to look stupid blocking a barge full of cars) - I realise deflating should be done when the tyre is cold - how long would this take after an hour long h'way run? Do I just give it 15mins? or would I need to wait hours? Or, do you guys generally just set the tyres on the barge and not worry about it?
Am I over-thinking this too much?

No, 17's on mine. To be honest, I was cruising around dunes out near Birdsville with 35 in the tyres with the intention of dropping it if the car told me to. I ended up on top of Big Red while I was looking for some bigger dunes. The people on top said I went up the hard way as well. :) I didn't even know it was Big Red.
