One for the champagne sipping set!

Enter wolly number 1, who applies to the Arts Council for a $20,000 art grant

Enter Wolly number 2, the idiot at the arts council who gave wolly number 1 the $20,000 “Arts” grant.

Wolly number 1 then takes the $20,000 “Arts” grant to the Reserve Bank and gets $20,000 in $100 dollar notes with sequential numbers.

Wolly number 1 then stacks the two bundles of $10,000 on a stand and calls it an “Artwork”

Enter Wolly number 3, without question the biggest wolly of them all.

Wolly number 3 pays a little over $17,000 for the $20,000 “Artwork”.

    Sounds like a steal!

Not when you factor in the 20% commission/fee, what ever you want to call it, and the total cost of a pile of money worth $20,000 to Wolly number 3 is close to $21,000.

What scares me is that it’s ****wits like this that are running ( read ruining ) this country.

Apparently if they only paid $20.000 or under it was just money, but if it sold for over $20.000 it was art

$16,500 was the cut off, anything over this amount would take the total to over $20.000

Tim, arts funding worked the same under the Libs as it does under Labor

Oh, and arts funding costs a lot less than the middle class welfare I really object to that's enjoyed by many

(I can see this thread ending up in The Soapbox )

(and I agree, it was a silly stunt)

I'm willing to stand on a platform in Queen St., and call it " living fossil in in twilight time", should make a motza, from the deep thinkers, I reckon, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Hi Rick and I agree with you but I wasn’t referring specifically to political leaders but just individuals in general, who will end up leaders of industry and government departments.
