The V8 is a Drake DT160 circa 1977-78. One ran a 5th at Indianapolis in 1978. Never got properly developed. John Drake ran out of money, and Hans Herman, the designer, would not listen to experienced US engine men.
The second is a Deusenberg from 1930. A redesign of the earlier Model A engine. Destroked to 244 cubic inches for higher revs. It is single overhead camshaft with desmodromic valves. Ran a 5th. in 1930.
Thanks Brian Would never have guessed it for a Drake. Dont remember hearing of them for a long long time
