Mine had no preload by 30,000 km.
According to Mr Ford dealer, the diff was filled with the wrong oil from new:o:o

The oil had turned to black sludge by 30,000 km.
They have now rebuilt it under warrentee.

Typical Ford, no recall, just fix the ones that complain.................
