    Guess the mystery engine component!

Below you will find a number of images, all of the same component. I have placed an image of this component atop a business card to give you an idea of its relatively small size.

Let's see who can tell me what and where it comes from!

    tip 1: engine is 3.9 V8

    Hi Grimace

If that ring was left over after you did the head on a 300 TDi, I would worry, as it would be a dowel ring, Part number ETC8352 and there are two of them to locate the head on the block.

    is it x 2?

    Hi Grimace

If that ring was left over after you did the heads on a 3.9 V8, I would worry, as it would be a dowel ring, Part number 602040 and there are four of them, two of them per side on the block, locating a head.
