Did anyone notice that it was set in 1970 but they were driving a Series III...? ;)
PS - Our "Shadow" is a dead ringer for Red Dog.
Back in 1989,the good lady and myself did a trip to Broome and back with our 3 Golden Retrievers(they are now all resting in doggie heaven)
When we saw Red Dogs Statue they all got stuck into it before they realised it wasnt real.
Was funny to watch.

The Locomotive they filmed is also in current colours. When I did my apprenticeship with Hamersley Iron (HI) 1984-1987 the Loco colours were green and yellow. Also, the buses they used to transport us to work were yellow.
One of my uncles used to drive one of the Hamersley busses and regularly gave red dog a ride.
Good aussie movie though.
