The nurse told me to wear up to two pairs of the tightest undies I could comfortably wear after the 'op', Her suggestions included speedos or even ladies undies with lots of elastic stuff in the fabric. The theory being, apply a pressure bandage to a wound. My good wife took it apon herself to get me adequately 'dressed' and so it was that I was at the bush dance the following night in perfect if snug comfort. The gentleman who snipped me was from the sub continent and had done thousands. I sat up and watched the procedure, and I'm still impressed with how he did it. That was about twenty years ago.

But yea women cop it worse than us.
My advice is to start taking anti biotics so that bruising doesnt turn to infection, worst medical experience i've ever had.

Except for the surgeon and anaesthesist, all my medicos were female...and young...the nurse, op nurse, orderly, physio, trainee nurse, intern, all female.
I couldn't bear to go back in with multiple samples. I was afraid of all the sniggering and snide comments like 'great package there Mr Smith, look after it" and "if you weren't married you'd be the one for me" Scared me s***ss it did. Wife and I decided on a strategy of emptying the pipes ourselves . Procedure must have worked though coz wife was never duffed up ever again.
Maybe I'll get tested one day.

I was started on them Friday morning so about 5 hours before the op. Chears for the advice. Still think it's worth it.

I know it's too late for you now George, but if I had my time over again I would have measured my bits before I went in. That way I wouldn't be sitting here now wondering if bits are still swollen or if they are back to normal size.

I'm on the anti biotics but have a constant feeling like I was hit in the nuts a couple of hours ago.

Glad I got done before 50 shades and the destined series came out. I'd be well broken otherwise.

Know what you mean. It's the discomfort / pain above the groin that is bugging me.
Also wondering about that saying "Once you go black you never go back" . Does that mean mine will stay black?????

Don't worry, the tenderness subsides after 3, maybe 4 years.....

keep using the bags of frozen peas to reduce swelling and ache. If you got cream from the doc, use it and keep using it.

Take it easy - no heavy lifting, etc and you'll be fine in a couple more days.

I'd avoid the grog for a bit. Not that it will do any damage, just your likely to be a bit too active once the first couple take the edge away and that could lead to a really unpleasant morning after.
