Had it done june last year, and i must be the only bloke to have had an absolute nightmare . Surgery went fine and apart from the obligatory bag of peas i thought all was going well untill 2 days later my gonads were the size and colour of a large eggplant, 3 days later i got a burning sensation and had to go to the emergency ward at local hospital.
Some antibiotics and i was on my way again but later that night my nuts were on fire and i couldnt stand still i was in that much pain so went to gp next morning. My wounds had opened slightly and pus was oozing out so gp had to scrub my open wounds and gave me stronger antibiotics. Took over a month to fully heal and nearly 18 months later still have discomfort.
Now i could with all of that for not having to put the missus thru the female equivalent but then about 4 months ago she had to have surgery and they gave her a hysterectomy as well .

    Hi,
had to photograph a patient on the wards with similar, he was a bit shy and reticent about the photographs (for medical student teaching).

I was able to relax him a little with the tale of the South African Army Sergeant.
All of his privates were black.

Had mine done 30 odd years ago with local anaesthetic by a mate at work. Yes well he was a surgeon, and I worked in a Medical School.
Only problem was the op room was freezing and things weren't as relaxed as under general.
    No probs though.

    cheers

I was speyed around 20 years ago. Apart from some swelling due to climbing ladders 2 days later (was building my house at the time), I've never had a problem.

1980's when I worked in the heavy machinery game, one of my colleagues had the job done at a prominent Brisbane private hospital. Unfortunately for him he got a golden staph infection in the wound. He was in the hospital with rainbow footballs resting on a soft cushion whilst receiving antibiotic and painkiller drips.

His sensitive and caring colleagues got a huge castellated nut from a dozer, painted it Mustang Yellow (He was the Mustang rep.), gift wrapped it and took it to the hospital. Accompanying was a spare parts req. indicating that one nut LH and one nut RH had been ordered, one nut RH supplied and one nut LH back ordered. Nursing staff were highly amused.

Yeah it is no big deal but as suggested before there can be side effects.
I had mine done about a decade ago, same discussion with the missus.
The doc knew I was flying to perth a few days later but was ok about that, I was given a general, no options given for local.

Anyway, day before flying to Perth the left had swollen a bit so I saw my gp and he said it was a slight internal bleed that would stop as soon as the pressure equalised, don't worry.

So off I went to Perth, folks, by the time I got off the plane I was in agony. Yes the bleeding will stop when the pressure equalises but you have absolutely no idea just how much that sack can stretch before it does equalise, I am talking one side only here thankfully, if it were both you would have thought I had a regulation NRL ball in my pants! Went to the brothers house had pain killers, off to bed.

About midnight I was in a cold sweat and called an ambulance which took me to RPH. By the way, glad I was in Perth and not Sydney because they didn't have any rampant staph problems there and quarantined me for a short time to make sure I didn't bring any in.
Yep excited doctor taking happy snaps from every angle, he even thought there might be necrosis going on because it was so black.

So after a week of my two week holiday in Perth spent in hospital full of antibiodics and every young nurse and doctor in a 100 mile radius checking out my bits every morning I was finally able to leave the hospital.

I still have a visible scar from the infection in the would and sometimes the sack gets itchy but other than that I have had no problems.

What I am saying here is that every operation can go wrong so you should not plan to go anywhere after it, my doc should really have postponed til after my trip.

But all is well and I will bet not many of you have had anywhere near as many young women talking about your genitals as I have and comming back to see them again and again

And yes, the missus had to have surgery about 18 months later and they did a hysterectomy................bugga

    Where's the pictures.
SWMBO suggested I get mine done. So far I have managed to put it off for 20 years. Yes I am a chicken.

Any way won't be long before SWMBO is past child bearing age.

In the early 1970's such procedures were illegal in Qld. A mate got it done and was given a lapel badge of the male symbol of circle and arrow with a bit cut out of the circle. He found that the ladies came on to him when the meaning of the badge was explained. His younger brother who was firing live ammunition thought this was pretty good and wanted to borrow the badge.

He should have got his Mrs. snipped instead as she got a bit careless and conceived a child after he had the snip.

This happened to another mate of mine. He was told by the offending partner that two of their three other children were not sired by him before he had the op.

Geez, I thought I was the only one like that, good to hear I'm not the only one...

SWMBO has an implant in her arm that lasts 3 years, and is on her second one. By the time the latest one wears out, she too will be past child bearing age, so I managed dodge that bullet...

Add to that the fact I have been married 18 years, so the odds of having a mistake now are verrrrrry long.
