    Time for the snip

Well I've noticed that people on this forum like to talk about all the stuff they have added. Anyone keen to tell their tale about having something removed?

As the title suggests the wife has decided that 2 kids are enough and as she went through childbirth its my turn now. She does also point out that she is not pushing me into it and it is my decision. However, as I do not like the alternative separate bed option........

So fess up, who has had what done, how long ago and what have been the consequences?

had mine done 2 years ago, only took half an hour under local. my wife watched on with almost evil intent. the most painfull thing about the procedure is the needle at the start.(you can get it done under a general, more $) mild bruising for about 10 days. all's good. no problems
one less thing to worry about. cheers ben

    Oh dear..
I was hoping I'd never have to discuss this.

    The term is neutered.

Since I was neutered almost 7 years ago, I find I am calmer, fight less, am quieter, less aggressive, have a controlled libido and spray less.

Of course there are side effects, my voice is higher and I have developed breasticles.

On the plus side, I had a full general anaesetic and utilised the maximum recovery time. My good wife doesn't require oral contraceptive and we can 'go at it like animals' worry free.

Do it, I think you'll find there are many men who have done it and most go on to lead normal lives.

    Hope this helps

34 years now, and my voice hasn't changed.

Never had a single negative repercussion, and was assured by the doctor at the time that I would probably suffer less from old man's diseases. So far so good at 62 and still "the last man standing".

Had it done 12 years ago under local.
    Sat and watched it actually!
    No problems then or after.

Got done 5 years ago and all good and no issues at all. Had the same discussion with my other half and at the time it made sense cause IF we changed our minds and wanted more kids it was easier for me to get a reversal.....though I went general rather than local and was up again in 10days.

    Talking

Maybe 15 years ago. No worries Had the general anaesthetic though cos didn't want vivid flashback memories! Soreness was minimal. Get it done & stop worrying!

    Yea, been there, had that.

No drama's. In fact, I even rode my unicycle home, ran a marathon the following day, and played a game of footy on the weekend.
