    Vibration in 2010 RR Sport...HELP!

    Hi all,

I have a 2010 RR Sport TDV6 (twin turbo) and I am having an ongoing problem with a vibration in the car at certain revs. I have had it back to the dealer several times and they tell me the can't find it/it's my wheel alignment/I'm imagining it etc etc...

The vibration is felt through the chassis at low revs, particularly if the car is laboring and the gearbox hasn't kicked down into a lower gear yet. The vibration is also audible (sounds like a groaning noise) and transmits through the steering wheel.

In conjunction with this I also have a low pitched whine that I can hear on deceleration...not sure if I'm hearing things...or just trying to find things that aren't there now??

Any suggestions out there? Has anyone had the same problem?

I am concerned that it could be the torque convertor and or engine mounts causing the problems...and the cynic in me thinks the dealer is just trying to put me off because it would be a big job to fix?

Any collective wisdom out there that can help me out??

    Thanks in advance

Probably not the same fault but my 2009 build D4 has what feels and sounds like a rear tailshaft centre bearing vibration at low revs and higher torque situations, although its not particularly felt throught the steering wheel and I wouldn't call it a groaning noise. There were some early faulty centre bearing brackets even though the dealer's service manager says he's never heard of the fault. The vehicle has yet to be inspected.

Just cut to the chase if the problem is real .....

Ring up 1 of those car inspection folks and get them to drive it and write up a report.
Give a copy to the Dealer along with the bill ... Tell em that another copy is being sent to "Fair Trading" if they can't still find the problem

    Cheers
