I reported a similar issue to a similar online sales outlet when I sold a car a while back. I was met with complete and total denial that anything was sourced from their site and I must be mistaken, we have sophisticated measures to stop scammers from emailing you etc etc. Don't see how they could control it when all they have is my email address on display for buyers to contact directly. But they refused to do anything about it.

When I advertised the wife's car I had scammers from the Cars Guide advert but none from Car Sales.

If you have the time to wind some of these characters up a bit and at least waste their time, go for it.

I had about a month of email to and fro with a dodgy D3 sale recently, I am one of those with a dodgy email address that is used specifically for this purpose.
