    Hi Cliffy

I have a Bradley Smith, Steven Collins, Don Clench, Edward Hills, Gee Brooks, and Leeanne Kruege . They all work offshore on a rig, all the rigs have broken phones and most of them want to buy the vehicle for their fathers

What they all want is my paypal account name and the physical address so maybe this enables them to then change the password

    Regards Mark

I had the same when selling the wife's car recently.

I set up a Yahoo account just for the sale so used this to play with them for a while. They all started off " have you sold your ride...", I replied by email "no I haven't sold my ride", after the next email I asked them "which ride as I have 15 vehicles for sale at the moment ..."
My Yahoo email was bogussale@yahoo.com.au and they didn't pick up on this.

Eventually someone AULRO suggested signing them up for free porn downloads which I did. Their email address may be only transient but it made me feel better because they had to create another one.....

    Car site scammers

Keep them going with fake details, hopefully by wasting their time with you and they don't get some poor sucker.

You could also drop an email to the trading post. I am sure they are aware of these scams. Perhaps they, and ebay, should be helping by posting warnings on their site????? They could also take more effective action than us punters.

Or perhaps they dont wish to scare real customers away

Yep, I get them all the time when advertising.
They are not phased even when you tell them they have been reported to FEDPOL.
