Call shannons. they will ask you is you are an enthusiast. tell them yes as you are a member of Aulro. Best service and policy I have found don't even have a form for a windscreen claim.

    Cheers

    Matt

I found AAMI to be the cheapest - beating Shannons by a long way.

I was with TCIS but my agreed value dropped on my 89 rangie to 8 Grand with accessories at a cost of 800 bucks per year.
Shannons was agreed value 15k at a cost of 450 however its not my daily driver so I got a better discount..

Shannons X 5 , I had a claim, no fault of mine, no hassles everything done over phone in 5 mins, got agreed value, free windscreen a year.
Friendly a great to deal with.
Re AAMI Cheap insurance is not always the wisest choice, check what's included before you buy.

with my MY99/2000 P38, used Budget Direct for a couple of years then I went with Allianz. Seems pretty good, one free windscreen a year -no excess and no effect on NCB, plus a minimum form of Roadside Assist . Market value which pretty much equated with what I'd expect to be an 'agree' value. Annual premium was around $600.

I'll try shannon's next time...they were marginally more expensive than Allianz but I didn't mention the magic word AULRO nor the issue about it being an occasional rather than every day driver ...

I worked in the industry for years for Australias Largest Insurance group and they are a top notch insurer but you get what you pay for.

My only advice for anyone when it comes to insurance is decide what you actually want from your policy ie. choice of repairer, windscreens, hire cars. What type of car you have ie. will you be waiting on parts that take a while to get here and be left without a hire car due to your free allocated days running out and avoid LUMLEY insurance like the plague most unprofessional, unethical players in the business.
