We made custom racks to take our bikes to the desert. They were made in a way that you could drive offroad with the bike on the back, just in case we needed to recover a bike.......the injured rider could be thrown in the back of the County

all i am saying is i think someone like this making such requests would be a whole lot better respected if giving support this forum, i see that no different to any other vendor on here.
Oh FFS Get Over It !!!!!

I have seen reference to AULRO on at least one occasion in the mag (can't remember which edition - it was a while back), and I'm pretty sure I've seen / heard AULRO mentioned on one of the DVD's as well.

A hell of a lot of the other vehicles featured in the mag / on DVD's belong to members of Toyota / Nissan / Mitsubishi forums as well - don't see / hear anyone having a cry that those forums don't get a lot of mention in the mag.

I met Roothy and had a couple of cold ones with him a couple of years ago when he was in Tassie. While he loves to have a dig at Landrovers (because he knows he will always get a bite), he also has a healthy respect for them and has owned at least one in his time - and he is certainly very aware of AULRO. His words to me - "one of the best forums there is".

I couldn't agree with him more.
    Cheers .........

I've got a couple of photos of my Disco snatching my young bloke's work 79 series Cruiser AND a little Mazda bubble car out of a salt lake in a single pull.

But I'd better not post them up. The business whose name is painted all over the side of the cruiser might not see the funny side .............
    Cheers .........

    Like that's going to happen.

A few of us went to Stockton Beach for a photo shoot for a 4WD mag recovery article. A wide range of makes & models present. Of course the tricked up Toyota was the hero recovery vehicle that "rescued" discowhite's D4.
I doubt the mag told the readers that the D4 could not bog itself, & they had to dig 4 holes in the sand & then drive it in.

Or that the Toyota had to work very hard to recover the hardly stuck Land Rover.

Sorry if I sound jaded, but there were opportunities to photograph Toyotas & Nissans genuinely bogged, but they chose to do a set up instead.

My Big Boy toys!! The road pushbike is my latest obsession, and I ride it 50 - 60k a day round trip to and from work. Have lost 5 kilo's in the last month (with about that much still to loose) Just getting in shape for this ski season, especially since last year my elbow was in a cast for much of it.

What they truly don't realise is that when we own Land rovers we can't afford other toys.

Hey mate I'll post some pics soon, it's an xt falcon 378 clevo with all the good gear 12.5:1 comp, solid roller, lunatti crank, carillo rods, arias pistons, built c10 with 5 grand stall.

Set it up for a few different looks totally stock with granny visor, venetians and steelies or pull that off swap bonnets and put the 18s and 20s on remove the visor with a k&n through the bonnet.

It's currently 600ks away waiting for me to be able to get there so we can tune it, then send it off for trim, after two years I'm getting anxious to actually drive it other than onto a trailer.

What he said x 10......I am seriously embarrassed.......cringing by the way some of you come across. As said....one thread having a major whinge about no LR content...when it is asked for......a major whinge about asking for it.....because of not having content in the first place.

It also indicates that many of you don't even read the frickin mags in the first place...as there is more and more LR content.....Smokey has been in 2 of the mags....quite a few others in our club have featured in the various mags........many off here have been in the mags. WTF you lot on about . Hell I even won a fridge for best pic...awww yeah you go Smokey.....

Can we have a "Pansy Section" on the forum so the rest of us don't need to be humiliated by a few .

As for the request...here is my old D3 towing a trailer

    Regards

    Stevo
