    Becoming an Australian today

It's entitrely irrelevant but I'm ridiculously excited about my Citizenship Ceremony this evening and had to tell someone.

I'm English and I've been here for 9.5 years and finally got around to getting this all sorted out. I finally get to vote for which usless monkey I prefer to represent me in Parliament.

This is turning out to be a sensational year....bought my first Defender, finished my Austin Healey, finally getting my Wallabies jersey from my mates...WOOHOO!

    Rob

I feel a camping trip coming up......I wonder if the outback looks any different in the eyes of an Australian.....?

    Congrats
And not only will the outback look different, but the cities will look different as well. You will notice drunken English backpackers around all the beaches up and down the coast
And wear that Wallabies jersey with pride,we really are the 2nd best rugby nation despite the world cup debacle.

Congrats on getting to be a true blue Aussie! And a bigger congrats on getting a Wallaby's jersey, that's more Aussie than a citizenship ceremony and should probably take place as an indicator of true Australian pride rather than a silly ceremony!

Don't worry about delaying it 9.5 years, one of my friends dad has also been citizenship this week after being in Australia for 45 YEARS!!!!!

Have fun in your new deefer!

Thanks Numpty. Didn't take me long to decide. It was either going to be a Porsche 356, a Jaguar E-Type (too exxy) or an Austin Healey. As soon as I saw the first Healey in the flesh, I knew I had to have one. Amazing lines - Carrol Shelby himself modelled the Cobra on the Healey lines....or so I've heard. They certainly look similar.

Cheers for the congratulations guys. I just scoffed down a pie for lunch to celebrate. I'm well on my way!

Carrol didnt design the cobras body it was an AC Ace that Shleby repowered and tweaked. The Ace began production in 53.

But anyway, congrats on the becoming a real Aussie thing the more the merrier.

I totally agree Wayne the Wallabies are the second best Union team in the world even when the Kiwi's lend them the best coach they have to try and teach them how to play properly. ...

And congrats Rob on becoming an Aussie citizen. ...
