Quaife Land Rover 6 Speed Sequential Gearbox

Quaife in the UK have developed a 6 speed sequential gearbox for use in Land Rovers, replaces the R380 box and utilises the standard LT230 transfer case and gearbox mounts etc.

I have emailed them asking if it can be fitted to a td5 and for a rough price for the box.

    Will be interesting.

    Hey Pete,

I did the same asking for a price with bellhousing for the D2...

I saw they had another similar box on their list for just under 10,000GBP...

You all DO realise what the words
    "straight cut"
    "dog clutch" and
    "sequential"

    mean I hope.

This is a straight racing box meant for Bowlers etc for Paris Dakar. It would be unbearable to use to drive normally on a public road.

Think about what you hear when you watch the supercars.

So . Oh the sound. I will never forget the in-car footage of the Diet Coke E36 BMW super tourers in the late 90's, coming down through the gears at the end of Conrod Straight. I'd be happy for my Defender to sound like that.
