About as much as sitting on top of a tank full of highly volatile flammable liquid hydrocarbon compounds.

Compressed air tank and engine or Battery and motor system. Knowing how much air my air tools go through and how many KWhrs to drive the compressor would have me think that an electrical battery system would be the more efficient use of grid power to run a car but that is just a guess. The price of lithium batteries may push the economy to compressed air though?
your air tools are generally only ****y little single expansion jobs and running at a paltry 90psi (for normal workshop type air tools) or 250psi (for Im not kidding sized ones)
last time I checked on it the donk in that thing was triple expansion and running at something like 300psi on the primary stage
I wanna see a big dump valve under it so you can hop it out of traffic jams.
TATA are heading in the right direction but I reckon the answer is steam power,
how about bringing the Steam engine into the 21st century .
Imagine what a bit more curry & some 21st century technology could do with this.
