Yes, it is probably the vehicle in question as it is an Isuzu, leaf rear & series 2 body. It was at the AULRO get together at Templestowe in Melb last May - I think... was the month.

A few more pictures.
Kitchen on the drivers side with pumped filtered water etc
Seating and storage on the passenger side.
Bed extends all the way forward to the windscreen which leaves access to the seats and sink when the bed is in place. There is also the option of two single beds without moving anything around. Useful for quick roadside stops or if we are not happy with our park for the night. Fridge lives behind drivers seat but is not in the photos. Webasto heating and hot water.
Landrover is currently in the UK but I pick it up in 4 weeks and drive it back to Aus.
Hey there Matt. Good to see you got your Landy up and running. Nice to hear from you. I have a Series One project going on up at Peters place at the mo and also a Series III LWB for parts which will turn into a Series One monster eventually ;)
Regards
Callum
Anyone have a contact for the chap with the green beast??
Want to know more about it.
Nice one in France for sale
Land Rover Série IIA de 1968 Voitures Somme - leboncoin.fr
Hmmm. that looks like an ex-RAF Series 2a Ambo, RAF had the extra upper brush bar for going through rural fences to get to aircraft crash sites (long time LRM reader ;))
Nice looking vehicle that one, would be pretty unique over here, as I am not aware of any ex UK MOD bloodboxes here.
It seems to be a nicely restored example. A few words from the French owner ..........
We sell our ambulance we bought to a LR specialist in a very good form (he bought it in 1980's to the RAF, this ambulance works in RAF manchester airport). We transformed it in camper mode. All mechanical and body works have been made in a garage. We had in charge the intern modifications.
The engine is the original 2,25l begin and turn perfectly.
The body is really perfect. The colors we used are Land Rover references colors.
The tire are "new", I replaced them in 2004 and the have approximately 1.000 miles.
Inside the cell : Completely studied for eating, sleeping and receive a chemical WC (an indiscutable requested point from my wife ... lol).
We keep all military parts we removed. We have too some new parts we bought in case of ... . This stock of parts will be given with the vehicle.
On each step of the restauration, I made a lot of pictures. I could them send them if you want.
We are located in Abbeville (France), 1 hour drive from Calais.
English is not my mother language, so please contact me by mail (def2som@me.com), it's more easy for me. Many thanks for your comprehension.
If you are interested by this nice ambulance, please send your serious offer.
Landy yours,
Christophe
