I suspect it might be this vehicle.

Hi all. I was told today about a recent article in an Australian 4WD magazine (say in the last six months or so) covering a camper conversion with a Land Rover ambulance. The person however was not sure of the month or publication. All he could tell me was the publication came with a dvd featuring "Roothy" and one of his trips. I understand the article was over a couple of pages in length. I guess that could be Overlander or perhaps Australian 4WD Action. Could anyone help?

Thanks korg0000bc for the quick reply. I believe the colour was green and the conversion was with a landy that was part Series 3 stage 1 with a 2a ambulance body.

Roothy is in Aust 4WD Action. A quick Google found this: TASSIE DEVIL | Australian 4WD Action so that gives the builder's name.
See also Landrover 110 camper It's not a green one, though.
Amazing what Google will find.![]()

Thanks Ron. Went there first but did not have much luck. I know AULRO has great wealth of information, and much better than Googlelandychris
Hi Landychris,
The owner/builder of the 2a ambo body on 110 chassis is Callum Blackhall- the same guy as the named in the Disco conversion article.
I'm not sure what colour it might be now but I was there as he working on it and it was white and blue as per the photo. I believe that the original ambo body was white as it had done UN service.
Sorry, it's Boxer (Mark) who works at the mag (he drives a Disco). PM him - he may be able to help.

Thanks to all for the information. I am still not sure if this was Ambo he was talking about. He said it was a 2a body on a Series 3 Stage one. Windows cut in the side, green and with a white top.
