Yup, you'd be surprised how hot it can get actually. Just to the north of Hobart in the southern midlands, about where Wrinklearthur resides is consistently hot this time of year, with no cool sea breezes etc it can get quitee uncomfortable.
Like I said we are from WA originally and some days here feels no different from a Perth summer:o

Had the opportunity to visit Hobart in Jan., whilst on a cruise , went to the top of Mt Wellington, was blowing a gale, and I believe the temp. was around 2 degrees. [ felt like minus 2] To go from that to the mid thirties , well that's incredible. Just as aside, I am a keen gardener, a temp. difference like that in a small time frame must make it hard to grow vegies., I would think. Bob
How are the humidity levels in Tas? We've had a few days in the high 30s here in Gods Own (Yarra Ranges) but it's a dry heat where I can do physical work quite comfortably and still sleep at night without the need for aircon.
Bill.
looked outside this morning and fair dinkum the ducks are bogged after last nights rain
I used to live in Bangkok where the minimum temperature was always several degrees higher than the maximum in Brisbane, so I got used to it. Rather be hot than cold and miserable.
I blame global warming. I'm sure we'll all be rooned before long. Its the end of civilization as we know it. Get ready to fry one day and freeze the next. And all this CSG mining must be releasing so much methane the place will soon expode when a match is lit. Changing weather could be behind our current political turmoil as well. You do know the French Revolution was caused by a documented mini Ice Age that lasted about a century and cut food production so much the peasants revolted cause they couldn't get their potatoes or cabbages? Maybe Kevvy's grocery intake has been affected by the current global warming? Next thing the fridges will freeze in Aldi. I tell you, THE END IS NIGH! RUN FOR THE HILLS!
:D
One of these?
