Must be some kind of record for Tas.
Just another Summers day in Melbourne. Give it a couple of hours and we will probably need jumpers on.
38 degrees here tomorrow.

Go work a summer in North West Queensland. 38 is like air conditioning after a day doing a roadside breakdown at 45 in the shade if you can organise some (keep the tool boxes in the shade otherwise you can't pick a tool up). And the ambient oft-times stays over 40 for weeks on end.
At the moment in Brisbane it is fairly peeing down rain and has been for 48 hours. Good stuff as the temp is down to the point where I have put on a flanny shirt. Three days ago it was 36 and 80+% humidity.
Anyway, you are in the pointy head state. There will be a blizzard tomorrow.

JC, I was in Tassie Dec 2010 and it was freezing, at the moment here in Buderim on the Sunshine(not) Coast its 22 degrees and been overcast and raining all day. Good for working on the Disco but work gets in the way of that.
Regards Gordo
I grew up in WA Brian, worked in the Pilbara in January at 49+, and central goldfields too so yes, can appreciate 45+ temps. Its just that we aren't aclimatised to a jump from 20 today to 38 tomorrow
AND I have to do some physical labour too. I hate moving house. At least the Isuzu pantech has good jap A/C
