Simazine is pretty nasty stuff IMHO. It lasts in the soil for 70 to 110 days and we used to spray it at my old work with glyphosate to control weeds on walking tracks. It will clog up a boom or back pack spray quite easily and is very hard on spraying equipment. We had to replace 10x the boom spray nozels when spraying simazine compared to any other chemical we sprayed. I'm not a big fan then, but it does work.
It also has the potential to leach into groundwater - particularly a problem in the USA.

Sounds like you need some geese or a goat.
Tordon (Agent White) is used by State Forests to kill trees (like in Vietnam) for Firewood and Silviclture, good stuff, just don't get any on your kids or Pregnant women or breathe the smoke from firewood so poisoned, Regards Frank.
Matt,
The only sure fire solution I have found (expensive but your loaded)
is to take the right blend of CaO, SiO2, MgO and CaSO4 then whack in some sand gravel and a shed load of muscle and sweat.
The finished result is a little Italian but keeps the weeds well under control for ever.
I have been impressed with Grazon, Ive got a woody weed problem on the block.
Got 3 hours of dry weather a couple of saturdays ago and hit them before they seeded. Has knocked the woody weeds in one spraying. Im hoping to keep poisoning till the end of the wet when Ill organise a controlled burn?

Ironically the place was a goat farm, she bred the stupid creatures
But its around the driveway and the drive itself, plus heaps of banks, so I'd be forever moving goats
If I was to use Geese I'd need quite a few hundred, It takes a day to spray, with a 15L twin nozzled napsack
No loaded yet.....working on it
I'm tossing up concreting the drive, but it really needs to be a pattern or something as vast expanses of grey arent hugely attractive, I asphalted the last place, but here, the drive way you really see when you pull in, so it needs to look reasonable, plus, the dude at the quarry owes me a fair wack and I'll rewire the spray sealer mans house
I would make up a mix of sand, aggregate, cement and water.....add some deformed round steel bar...that should stop the weeds for 30 years or so...
Can you get hold of the stuff they use on railway lines. I use to be a ganger with Vic rail years ago. cant remember the name of the poison but it killed everything for about 5 years. It was nasty stuff as i remember.
