Dunno about that Casper. Just got back from a work trip and went out to the block to have a look at some gorse that had been sprayed with 10% glyphosate a month ago and it has been well and truly affected. :)Quote:

If it is not in an area of fire danger have had success with a gas powered wand.It can be used on green vegetation and just sizzles the weeds.heat is such that even seeds under topsiol seem to be fried as well.I used it on fence lines and had the effect of stopping seed re growth after a few applications.Safe -no chemicals just use with common sense re fire danger

Have to agree with Mallee Fowl, gas wand is a good way to go, as it also sterilizes the soil for a couple of mil down.
There are some commercial contractors who have tractor mounted gas burners that use liquid LPG instead of vapour and they heat the soil to some huge temparature (1500c I think). I believe these work well and are used in organic chemical free situations.
