    Ranga Is A Legend

A friend and myself have had our two caravans parked up on the Murray river at Tocumwal for the past four weeks. Myself and SWMBO had a two week holiday with our friend and the friend has stayed to look after the vans.

We then have been going up week ends with the intention of pulling out the vans this coming weekend.

Last night I had the pleasure of having Ranga and his family visit and stay the night. Well we had 75 mm of rain last night and Tocumwal had 85mm. I got a phone call from my mate suggesting we get out today.

So I have two problems. Because of the rain the track in is now 4x4 and I cooked my Disco heading up there last week end and it now has the head off.

Second problem is, because of all the rain at my place I was having big dramas at home.

So Ranga to the rescue. Here is a bloke that 24 hours earlier I had never met, who was on his way home to Brisbane, had no hesitation when I asked him for help. He went to Tocumwal, unhitched his own van, left it and went to the camp spot twice and pulled our vans to safety. As I was then unable to come up and collect them, he took them to my in-laws place, about another 4km.

If there were more people like Ranga, the world would be a much better place.

So I say to you Ranga, thanks mate, you are a top bloke.

    Dave.

As they say, one good turn deserves another.

Was the least I could do in return for your hospitality. I believe what goes around comes around, and doesn't have to be between the same 2 parties. Plenty have helped me out that I'll probably never get a chance to repay, hence the joy in helping out a new AULRO mate

You wouldn't expect anything less from a Queenslander, good on ya for holding the side up Ranga.

So very true. Goes around in many degrees of separation often, over sometimes many years IME.

    Thanks from Tassie to Ranga

    Hi Ranga

I got the message from Gromit, saying that he had received the bits I sent over and I told him to check them out first to make sure that they will do the job.

Many thanks for dropping those bits off to Gromit and also helping me to pickup the hotchpotch from Collinsvale.

Make sure you stay dry as it looks like your heading into a small flood which is over nearly all of NSW!

    Cheers Arthur
