sound like perhaps instead of punishing the driver they should look at making the vehicle more suited for what it obviously faces in the area it works. They obviously had the need on that day to go through deep water. apparently it was a local truck, so maybe they should be learning from the event rather than complaining about an outcome which would have been foreseeable to some extent if floods are common.

Perhaps an amphibian would be more appropriate if it is a flood prone area. It is an Emergency vehicle after all.

would anyone blame the Police for bending a few panels to stop an offender?

Maybe, but again, bend away officers -my taxes are more than enough to cover the bill!

I think the Isuzu truck is amazing, but that driver is/was a goose.

That's precisely what you're not supposed to do, and yeah we can say they were on the way to 'save' someone, but what if the Isuzu pooped itself - then they have to be saved and resources used to get them out of the poop instead of being used for someone else - let alone the loss of a unit.

I know that all sounds like the response of a bean-counter, but that's reality.

Yep, it's a great clip to watch but a pretty poor decision by the driver...

    True,
We were always told "safety, you, your crew, the patient and then others" but that was for ambulance...
