    I just had a go at the Australia Post calculator. A 1.5-1.75 kg. parcel to the USA via sea mail is $35.05 plus the $9 security surcharge.

    No, it is US/State law that prohibits alcohol. JamesH and Richard are correct.

    Vlad - had you posted the rum you might have been extradited to the US and sent to jail

    A friend of mine want some "smarties " sweets sent over to the US.
    Well this was 2 yrs ago we posted them. My friend never received them. My friend has a theory of the yanks didnt know what they were so they either blew them up or similar. My guessing is the customs dept over there took them and ate them. Imagine what would happen to a bottle of bundy rum. GONE.

    I asked the company and they replied to say that Bundaberg rum is not yet available for sale in the USA. They are working on the approvals necessary.
