what the hell is a Wolseley doing in there? :o
the family and i went there in 2003 3weeks before the race and i can tell you at the 60k limit a lap takes 6.22min and have video from the time.
and to give you all a laugh we went in a Morris Marina :o no dramas on the whole trip and around 40mpg :D
I saw my Son last night and I showed him this thread. He told me that he saw this Falcon and that it is an XR., For those who don't know, XR Falcon GT's were only ever available in the colour Gold. The above photo was one of only a couple that was not Gold.Quote:

According to Wiki there were 13 non gold ones. Below is a quote from Wiki.
All but thirteen XR GTs were painted in the colour 'GT Gold', eight were "Gallaher Silver" and five were "Russet Bronze, Sultan Maroon, Polar White, Avis White and Ivy Green". The non-gold GTs, while having the same specifications, are the rarest of the early Australian muscle cars.
