Their excuse is, the guy who quoted us was new and didn't allow for the 'over height' of the vehicles which basically takes up two spaces on the truck. Original price was $1000 per car, now $2040 per car.
The frustrating part of this is, right from my first contact with them I made it VERY clear the cars are over the 2.1m in height which is the standard max height they work to, and that the cars would be fully loaded with camping gear etc. They didn't have a problem with either of these points at first, especially as they allowed plenty of time to spread the vehicles over more than one truck.
Anyway, they are sticking firm to their revised price, so I'm shopping around for an alternative.
Any suggestions for who to try would be appreciated.
There's no naming and shaming on the forum, so I haven't given the name of the company here........which starts with S :D
