Cheers Bob, thanks for your tolerance!!!....
I don't recall mentioning for instance that the "Qld reds win again" threads arent exactly stunning news or of interest to all the rest of us!!...
I try to just move on to other threads if I don't like the one I am looking at! Usually you seem reasonably tolerant, in this instance people are worried/concerned about something and where else on this forum would you like it discussed? It's the removal of the area it discusses!!
Any way, if this thread gets locked the conversation will surely pop up in other places.. I hope soon it will die a natural death as matters are resolved/sorted..

not really
held accountable and decided to host their own might be more apt.
which is exactly what i would do in the same circumstance.
i might be viewed as a mongrel but i don't much care as i did what i did in the hope that remlr would be better for it in the long run.
and it already is according to the feedback i have received
so i feel somewhat vindicated but sad at the same time because i will be forever viewed as being a mongrel by some no matter what good comes of it.
i have my side ready to be switch back on read only soon as i get the word that things have been sorted out, if they get sorted out, that is.
not much more i can do ....

Its just a pity some info is not forthcoming from the admin of REMLR, but the new forum is ok
I just have to have two screens runnng at the same time now![]()
Hello All,
Coming from the background of a researcher my main concern is that the tremendous resource that many people contributed to is currently inaccessible. People have documented and photographed their restoration trials and tribulations from the first time they entertained the thought of buying their first ex-military project, their recovery attempts and final drive home. The discovery of things not being all they seemed as they discovered the true extent of the rust in their new project. Or being pleasantly surprised to how little rust or the discovery of an old unit marking. Posts which tracked the disassembly; and each stage of reassembly. Until the point of full restoration the posts which told the glory of the project passing it’s roadworthy and their motoring proudly along the road.
It was threads like these that captured my attention and got me interested in getting an ex-military Land Rover. I have been able to work out from other people's information what to do and what not to do, plus what is missing from my vehicles. It is has also provided me with goals such as, one day soon, being able to take part in Canungra or Corowa so I can spend some time with like minded people.
The REMLR contributions up to the final day on AULRO would be an immense resource to capture and have available just as a read only site.
Kind Regards
Lionel
