    Cost of a D1 MAF?

It seems that after a very big backfire due to lpg my MAF is dead
Now running great on gas and very bad on petrol.
So what is a good price for a MAF?
I have been quoted $195 from a reputable wrecker for a second hand tested unit.
Is this about right or is there some where people know of in Aus or Overseas that i can get a genuine one cheaper?
    Thanks

Just look on Ebay , particularly UK.
And Jaguar 89 -92 3.6 and 4 litre are the same Hitachi 3AM or 5AM, and AFAIR Saab turbo about 90 or thereabouts.

I got one slightly damaged for $50 in Oz.
I think you can get new Chinese ones in UK for less than that.

Gee he's upped his price by over 100% over the last few years, I bought on off this seller years ago, cost me landed ab out $120 pound.
Had a complaint on a faulty MAF for a P38 Range was dead on arrival, they took a long time to respond to complaint emails.

    Thanks for that.
I had been advised to only use a genuine MAF. Should or shouldn't I?

The one from the US looks a good price except for the $50 postage charge!!!

Most Mafs sold on Ebay are chinese copies it doesn't matter if they come from US or UK.
I've used them without dramas on a D1.
That's after I twice paid for reconditioned ones, I from petroject who no longer deal direct to public and another from a Land rover service place not a dealer and paid $500 & $600 for a piece of junk that lasted maybe a year.
List price for a new one from Land rover is $000's
