Brian, it still has it's root ball attached, so if was deliberately done it would have had to been pushed over with a dozer or Kato, Regards Frank.

Certainly no way round this bit of timber. The track runs beside a creek that at the time we where there could have been up graded to being a stream. So the head was causing some damming of the creek/ stream. The bank as seen in the pics would be a challenge even for us land rover owners. :) Tree was just another casualty of the storms that went through there. The track is King billy which is a major track as it connects Howitt plains road to Brocks road. So there was a bit of queue when we got there. When we all got under with no problems and where leaving there was on either side a 4wd with a roof pod attached. :) Drivers standing opposite each other looking a tad vexed. One did have a chain saw in hand and apparently was going to do a little shaping of the cut out.

Have a good laugh every time I go past that one - Barkley River Track near Bull Plain Road
Thanks Frank but my comment was made in jest .......................... but then again, taking a second look at the way it is sitting near horizontal plus Halls comment about the head blocking the creek (so couldn't go down much further,if any) I don't think it would drag the tow train anywhere. :D
But then again the Landy's would need to be in the creek themselves to get the necessary angle of pull ....................... and you'd need quite a long train to move that critter anyway. :D:D
I was along that track on 1st May with a convoy of 13 vehicles including two 130's with campers on their trays. I'm certainly glad the tree was still upright when we passed by. ;)
